Day 2 – 28 Jan: Hanoi → Ninh Binh (Tam Coc & Bai Dinh)

Swamini Saraswati arrives airport in Hanoi at 02:10 AM, 6E 1631. Our driver welcomes and transfers you to hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. At 08:30 AM, get picked up by our tour guide then depart for Tam Coc and Bai Dinh pagoda (120kms south of Hanoi). On the way, we transfer you to visit incense village at Quang Phu Cau village, enjoy taking photograph on your own. Heading to Tam Coc. Boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “three caves” (1.5 hour boat trip). With Halong bay type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all. You will feel the fresh air and peaceful moments, very good opportunities for photo lovers, freezing the special moments and scenery. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Buddha Sanctuary place of Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest one in Vietnam with 500 Arhan statues. You can see a biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Tour guide also gives you an introduction of beliefs and religions in Vietnam.

Day 3 – 29 Jan: Cuc Phuong national park → Hanoi

After breakfast, our guide takes you to visit Cuc Phuong national park. You will visit the Visitor Center where you can learn more about the park from the pictures and models on display; visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center – one of the highlights of a visit to Cuc Phuong, where you can observe some of the rarest primate species in the world. Drive 20km to the park center where you begin hiking a 7km loop trail to see the 1000 year old tree. On this trail you will have a chance to discover the secrets of nature. This one day tour will conclude with a visit to the Cave of Prehistoric Man, where human skeletons and stone tools dated to some 7.500 years old have been found.

Continue to visit Van Long area, you will arrive at the Nature Reserve of Van Long, we get on a bamboo rowboat as soon as we arrive for a boat trip rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long, enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies, lotus pond (if have) and towering limestone mountain peaks. Return to Hanoi.

Day 7 – 30 Jan: Hanoi → Halong bay

Breakfast at your hotel then check out your hotel, you can leave big luggage at hotel (please note to hotel staff to keep for you) and bring small bag for Halong bay trip as you will be back to this hotel to stay more.

07:50 – 08:00 AM, Our guide Pick you up at your hotel and go to Halong bay on a shuttle bus.

12.00 – Meeting at Tuan Chau harbour. Check in Royal Palace Cruise and you are warmly welcomed by a professional and friendly crew.

13:00 – Check-in cabin and enjoy specially prepared lunch while cruising through most beautiful parts of the magical bay with thousands of amazing limestone islands emerging from emerald water. Sailing with Royal Palace Cruise in very tranquil route, exploring the exotic beauty of the legendary Bay, a feeling in paradise will come to you.

14:30 – Keep cruising to the most beautiful parts of Halong Bay. This is the best time to relax after lunch and enjoy your privacy, capturing stunning photos of the legendary bay.

15:30 – Small tender brings you to visit Titop island, hiking to the top of the island from where tourists can capture a panoramic view of Halong Bay.

16:30 – Kayaking & swimming 18:00 – Join the sunset party on the sundeck in a warm and romantic atmosphere, making friends with other members in the group, enjoy fresh local fruit, listening soft, light music, wearing traditional costumes for kings, queens, and mandarins.

19:00 – Enjoy the special dinner cooked by our professional chef.

Day 8 – 31 Jan: Halong bay → Hanoi

06:00 – Take photos of sunrise, morning exercise with our Tai Chi master, a perfectly healthy way to start a new day.

07:00 – Enjoy your breakfast, coffee, tea, fruits.

07:45 – Visit Surprising Cave – the most beautiful one in Halong Bay.

09:00 – Back to Royal Palace Cruise for check-out. Keep cruising towards Ha Long Bay, passing by hundreds of islands and islets with different shapes depending on your imagination.

10:00 – Cooking class opened right on the cruise.

11:00 – Farewell lunch served on the cruise before you arrive at harbor.

12:30 – Tour ends at Tuan Chau habour.

Get on bus to go back to Hanoi.

Arrival back at your hotel approximately 15:30 – 16:00.

Around 16:45 PM, you can go walking around 10 minutes to Lotus Water Puppet Theater (16 Le Thai To street) to enjoy water puppet show at 17:15. The show ends around 18:05.

Day 6 – 01 Feb: Hanoi → Siem Reap

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your leisure time such as go to Ethology museum to visit there on your own.

At 12:00 PM, our driver transfers you to the airport for flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. (VN837 departing at 15:15 PM, flight code: 65T2HN)

Arrive airport in Siem Reap at 16:55 PM. Our driver welcomes and transfers you to hotel.

Rest of day is leisure in Siem Reap for walking around to explore the ancient town on your own and shopping.

Day 7 – 02 Feb: Siem Reap (Angkor complex)

In early morning, you will be taken to Angkor Wat at 04:30AM to watch sunrise and take photo.

You will visit Angkor Thom, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire. Then, you will continue your visit to Ta Prohm, a stunning temple complex with trees and vegetation growing around and through its structures.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat, the most famous of all the temples in Angkor. Angkor Wat is a massive temple complex and is one of the largest religious monuments in the world.

Day 8 – 03 Feb: Siem Reap (Koh Ker & Beng Mealea)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 08:30 AM, depart the city and head to Koh Ker, which takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, we will venture into the deserted ruins and surrounding forest and explore the Koh Ker temple complex, the former capital of the Angkorian empire during the years AD 928 to AD 944.

We drive back to Siem Reap. On the way back, we stop at two famous temples: Prasat Neang Khmaw & Prasat Pram. Lunch at a local restaurant near Beng Mealea temple.

We visit Beng Mealea temple. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and discover the wonders of an overgrown temple, Beng Mealea, which lay undiscovered for centuries.

Day 9 – 04 Feb: Siem Reap (Kulen mountain)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 08:00 AM, then traveling through beautiful countryside to visit Banteay Srei which is fantastic with excellent carvings in pink and yellow sandstone, continue to Kulen Mountain which is the most sacred place for Cambodian as well as the most important place for visitors. You can enjoy a combination of natural beauty and Cambodia culture in relaxing atmosphere. It is the place where in the year 802 Jayavarman II was crowned as Devaraja (God King) and announced the independence from Java. Cambodia as we know it today was born. What we can see at the mountain are the most beautiful waterfall in Cambodia, thousand of Shiva Linga carvings along the riverbed, Preah Ang Thom (Giant reclining Buddha statue), and footprint of Buddha.

Return to Siem Reap.

Day 10 – 05 Feb: Siem Reap (city & Tonle Sap lake)

At 08:30 AM, start the tour by visiting the National Museum. Here, you can explore a collection of Khmer art, artifacts, and historical exhibits that provide insights into the culture and history of Cambodia.

After the museum, take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake, one of the largest lakes in Asia. This is an opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the lake and see some of the local fishing villages and floating communities that call it home.

After the lake tour, head to downtown to visit Artisan’s D’angkor, the carving art school, where you can witness the intricate art of stone carving and other traditional crafts. Next, continue your visit to Wat Thmei, a beautiful pagoda that is known for its memorial stupa that contains the skulls of Khmer Rouge victims.

After lunch, enjoy your free time in the city on your own.
