Day 1 – 20 Mar. Hanoi (Arrival)

Arrival airport in Hanoi at 15:55 PM – VJ096, our driver welcomes and transfers you to hotel for your stay.

Around 18:30 PM, you can go walking to Cinnamon Restaurant – 08 Hang Buom, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi for your dinner. Your reservation table at 19:00 PM.

Rest of the day is your own time to explore the city yourselves.

Day 2 – 21 Mar. Hanoi (Jeep tour + Train street)

Breakfast at your hotel.

At 12:20 – 12:30 PM, we begin our journey by picking you up from your hotel located in and around Hanoi Old Quarter. Our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby or a meeting point and give you a safety briefing before we begin our adventure.

On the first part of our Hanoi Jeep Tours, we’ll expose you to the REAL HANOI and give you a day-in-the-life experience of the city. We’ll take you through parts of the city that other travel companies don’t usually venture into, including maze-like backstreets, tiny alleyways, local homes, schools, random markets, and black marketplaces. You’ll get to experience where and how locals live, work, and play. At Hanoi Backstreet Tours, we don’t just show you the good side, but also the bad and weird sides of your destination. For us, the popular tourist sites are the tip of the iceberg, and the real destinations are hidden in the parts-unknown.

The second part of our Hanoi Jeep Tours takes you to pass by the MUST-SEE places of Hanoi, including the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the Tran Quoc Buddhist temples, the amazing Hanoi TRAIN-STREET, the enchanting French Quarter, the hustling and bustling Old Quarter, the romantic lakes of Hoan Kiem and West Lake, Hanoi Opera House, and the famous Long Bien bridge, etc.

Day 3 – 22 Mar. Hanoi → Halong bay

Breakfast at your hotel then check out your hotel, you can leave big luggage at hotel (please note to hotel staff to keep for you) and bring small bag for Halong bay trip as you will be back to this hotel to stay more.

08:00 – 08:10 AM, our bus pick you up at your hotel and go to Halong bay on a shuttle bus.

09:00 – Departure to Halong Bay, with a journey of approximately 2.5 hours.

10:30 – Arrive in Hai Duong province for a 10-20 minute break for restroom facilities and snacks.

11:30 – 12:00 – Arrival at the Rita Cruise waiting lounge at Tuan Chau Harbor.

12:00 – 12:30 – Transfer by tender to the Rita Cruise mother boat. Enjoy a welcome drink as you meet the captain and crew, followed by a brief introduction to the cruise and safety guidelines. Check-in to your cabin.

13:00 – 13:30 – Savor a Vietnamese seafood buffet or set menu lunch while cruising through the magnificent Halong Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations. The cruise continues through Con Vit Islet (Duck Islet), Thumb Islet, and Gia Luan Harbor in the Cat Ba area.

15:00 – Immerse yourself in the stunning views of the bay and its dramatic limestone islets as we sail through the calm emerald waters toward Dark & Bright Cave (Hang Sang & Toi). You can participate in outdoor activities, choosing between kayaking or a bamboo boat ride for approximately 1 hour.

16:00 – The ship moves to Tra Bau Beach. Here, you are free to swim around the cruise for approximately 45 minutes.

17:30 – 18:30 – Enjoy an Afternoon Tea Party with freshly prepared snacks, fruit, and your choice of drinks while waiting for the sunset over Lan Ha Bay. Take advantage of the Happy Hour “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” drink program at the Mimosa Cafe Lounge and the Sky Bar on the 5th floor.

18:30 – 19:10 – Join a cooking class guided by the Chef or Cruise Manager of Rita Cruise. You will have the opportunity to practice making traditional Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls or other famous Vietnamese cuisine.

19:10 – 19:30 – Dinner will be served in the restaurant.

After dinner, you are free to enjoy evening activities such as squid fishing on the 1st floor, listening to music, enjoying drinks, or singing karaoke with other guests in the restaurant or in our private karaoke room on the 5th floor (additional fee applies). Please contact our Cruise Manager to register for these activities.

Day 4 – 23 Mar. Halong bay → Hanoi

06:30 – 07:00 – Optional Tai Chi exercise on the 5th floor sundeck to welcome the new day.

07:00 – 07:45 – Enjoy the morning view of the bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee, followed by breakfast at our restaurant.

08:00 – The ship will move to visit Frog Pond, the filming location of the Hollywood blockbuster movie “King Kong.” Guests can enjoy sea swimming or kayaking for approximately 45 minutes.

09:30 – Return to your cabin to relax and ensure all luggage is packed before leaving. Check out of your private cabin and complete the check-out procedure.

10:00 – Savor a buffet brunch on the cruise while heading back towards the port.

11:00 – 11:20 – Return to the Rita Cruise waiting lounge at Tuan Chau Harbor by tender boat. Farewell.

11:30 – 12:00 – Our transfer service will pick you up and take you back to your hotel/location (if you reserved our transfer).

Arrival in Hanoi around 16:00 PM.

Day 5 – 24 Mar. Hanoi → Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu – Tam Coc)

Breakfast at your hotel.

7:05 – 7:15 AM, our driver and tour guide pick you up at hotels in the Old Quarter Area, Hanoi. Head the south of Hanoi for 110 km. After 2 hours, you will arrive in Ninh Binh.  First stop at Hoa Lu, you will have quick visit two  temples built in honor of the emperors Dinh Le, their sons, and the Queen… to know why Hoa Lu was build as capital of Vietnam in ending of nine century.

12:00 – Enjoy lunch at our restaurant with the great local cuisine.

13:30 – Boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “three caves” (1.5 hour boat trip). With Halong bay type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all. You will feel the fresh air and peaceful moments, very good opportunities for photo lovers, freezing the special moments and scenery.

17:15 – Return to our bus and then come back to Ha Noi

19:30 – Drop you off at your hotel.

Day 6 – 25 Mar. Hanoi (City tour) → Hoi An

Breakfast at your hotel then check out your hotel, you can leave big luggage at hotel (please note to hotel staff to keep for you). After city tour, ours driver will pick you up from hotel and transfer you to the airport for flight to Da Nang city.

08:00 – 08:30 AM, pick you up at your hotel.

08.45: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda located on Golden Fish IsLand in West Lake. It is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi built in the 6th century.

09.30: Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Goddess of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world

• Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, temples, pagodas…

• Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.

• Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed at least 2 months (15th June -15thAugust) for the annual maintaining but still can take picture Mausoleum and visit around that area

11.15: Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam.

Special Note: we will visit Women Museum instead of Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays

12.45: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine with 8 delicious dishes.

14.00 – 14.15 : Continue to visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century.

15.15: Leave for Hoa Lo Prison Museum which originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the “Hanoi Hilton”.

After tour, back to hotel and at 17:00 PM our driver transfer you to airport for flight to Danang (19:45 PM – VJ523).

Upon arrival in Da Nang, our driver welcomes and transfer you to hotel in Hoi An (we head to Hoi An which is 30 km far and it takes around 45 minutes)

Day 7 – 26 Mar. Hoi An (Visit My Son Sanctuary)

07:30 – 08:00 AM, our guide picks you up at hotel and leave Hoi An for visiting My Son Holly Land – the ruins of Cham people and was an imperial city during Cham dynasty. Here you can have more chance to explore and understand of technique of Old Cham people in making red bricks to build Tower which still now a secret to everyone, you can see a large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. It also surprises for those who are curious with architectural art. In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site.

Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon, your free time in Hoi An.

Day 8 – 27 Mar. (Basket boat and cooking class tour)

Around 08:00 – 08:30 AM, a unique experience through the coconut forest in the heart of Hoi An old town, enjoy & experience how to prepare special foods. This tour will give visitors a great experience, especially the short vacation tourists in Hoi An, this is a perfect choice.
Highlight Attractions:
Going to experience a local colorful market how to deal with the local sellers and know all ingredients for the meals.
Take a paddle boat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat down the waterways of a coconut palm paradise. Enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing and “Purple Crabs” in the canal.

Welcome drink and join the cooking class. Our chef will teach you the differences about the ingredients and traditional methods how to cook 4 dishes of Vietnamese food.

At the end of the course, we will provide you with recipes so you can cook Vietnamese food with your family and friends at your home. You learn 4 courses but enjoy 8 Vietnamese foods. After have lunch, our guide will drop you off back your hotel. After the lesson, you enjoy what you cooked and 4 prepared side dishes. Tour end, the tour guide will drop you off back at the hotel.

Day 11 – 30 Mar. Da Nang (Golden Bridge and Bana hill)

08:00 – 08:30 AM: Our Minivan and a tour guide pick you up at hotel lobby. Reach Ba Na Hills via Cable Car
Spend your time on the most modern Cable Car in Southeast Asia, visit Dream Stream Cable car Station and see the panorama of Quang Nam – Danang City on high.

After finishing the first cable car, you will visit The Golden Bridge – which has the most exotic structure and also the world’s most prominent pedestrian bridges highlighted by the British Guard newspaper, France wine cellar, Le Jardin D’amourn(consists of 9 gardens), Linh Ung pagoda.
Continue the 2nd Cable Car to visit the French Village – enjoy Street Music, watch Art’s statue , Campanile, Nine Floor Goddess Shrine, Tombstone Temple, Watch Carnival Performance Show, Square Du Dome …

Day 14 – 02 Apr. Ho Chi Minh (Explore city tour & Cu Chi tunnels)

Breakfast at your hotel.

7.30 – 7:45 AM: Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. 

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Have lunch at restaurant in HCM city. 

In the afternoon, visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known Landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. 

Back to the hotel.

Day 15 – 03 Apr. Ho Chi Minh city → Mekong Delta

‬‭Around 7.30 – 7:45 AM, Pick up guests at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for My Tho Port. Boat cruise on the Tien River to view the four islets: Long, Lan, Quy, Phung. The boat passes by floating fish farms along the Tien River, offering a view of Rach Mieu Bridge. 

Arrive at Thoi Son islet: Stroll through village paths, visit fruit orchards, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese music. 

Rowing boat through small canals: Enjoy the peaceful riverine scenery, visit a honey bee farm, and taste honey tea and banana wine. 

Continue down the Tien River to Tan Thach Canal (Ben Tre): Visit a coconut candy workshop, and explore traditional handicrafts. 

Motorboat excursion on Tan Thach canal: Discover the daily life of local people, have lunch at a local restaurant. The eco-restaurant features crocodile, porcupine farms, frog, and snake farming models, hammocks for relaxing, and bicycles for exploring fruit orchards, coconut groves, and rice fields. 

Horse-drawn carriage tour through village paths: Learn about the everyday life of local residents. 

Return to My Tho Port to continue to Can Tho.

Day 16 – 04 Apr. Mekong Delta → Ho Chi Minh city

Have breakfast at hotel.

Around 7:00 AM, relaxing boat ride to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Hau River, followed by a visit to the bustling Cai Rang Floating Market. 

Visit a local noodle-making factory. Explore Munir Ansay Pagoda, a renowned Khmer pagoda with unique architecture. 

Then, proceed to Son Islet, visit fish farms, fruit orchards, and enjoy seasonal fruits. Lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City, ending the tour.
