Day 1 – 4th March 2026: Vientiane arrival

Arrive in Vientiane at 12:10PM (SQ8572), our driver welcomes and transfers you to hotel. Your leisure time in the city on your own.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy your leisure time in the city on your own.

Day 3 – 6th March 2026: Vientiane (city tour)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. We begin our tour by visiting the serene Wat Sisaket, one of the most beautiful temples in the capital. Continue on to the nearby Wat Phra Keo. Used as a religious museum, Wat Phra Keo displays a collection of both Lao and Khmer works of art. Next, we visit COPE, an association working to help landmine victims. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we stop at the Patuxay monument, Laos’ version of the Arc de Triomphe. Continue out visit at Pha That Luang, the holiest site in Laos. We drive out of the city to visit the Buddha Park which contains numerous religious images. Back to the city.

Day 4 – 7th March 2026: Vientiane Ban Tha Heua

Have breakfast at your hotel. You have ample time to relax and stroll around the town of Vientiane before leaving the capital early for our journey northbound to Ban Thaheua via the highway Vientiane – Vang vieng.
We will see some breathtaking scenery enroute as we pass through spectacular countryside towards the mountainous region.
We will arrive in Ban Thaheua around noon, which locates at the north side of Nam Ngum Lake, the “sea of Laos”.
We will check in the bungalow overlooking the lake.
Free for the rest of the day to relax or stroll around for your own exploration.

Day 5 – 8th March 2026: Ban Tha Heua Vang Vieng

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel

10 am: Embark on our sala boat at Sanctuary Nam Ngum pier. Cruise through the islands, observing life along 10 am: Embark on our sala boat at Sanctuary Nam Ngum pier. Cruise through the islands, observing life along the banks. Explore various local fishing techniques and rice production in this region of Laos.
11:45 am: The boat will dock at one of the many islands, and a BBQ lunch will be served. You’ll have the opportunity to swim in the lake’s waters or try your hand at fishing like the locals.
1:30 pm: The boat sets off once again, beginning its return journey to the resort. Envision the dried fish preservation method while weaving through the islands.

PM: Arrive at Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Holiday Village Resort.
In the afternoon, transfer to Vang Vieng.

Day 6 – 9th March 2026: Vang Vieng exploration

Today, after breakfast, we embark on a full day of adventure in a songthaew/minivan, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of Vang Vieng. Our first stop is Tham Jang, a renowned cave that served as a refuge for local residents during the Chinese invasion two centuries ago.
Next, we’ll visit Tham Nangfa, also known as Angel Cave. This cave boasts vast limestone formations and breathtaking stalactites in unique configurations. The enchanting beauty of Angel Cave makes it a perfect spot for photography and quiet contemplation. For those seeking an extra thrill, we recommend a zipline flight over the area, offering an exhilarating way to admire the stunning views from above (An additional charge of $19 per person applies for the zipline).
After exploring these magnificent caves, we’ll head to Blue Lagoon 2, a tranquil spot ideal for relaxation and cooling off. Surrounded by lush greenery and clear blue waters, Blue Lagoon 2 offers a refreshing escape where you can swim, relax, and enjoy the serene environment.
After that, 30-minute cruise upstream on the Nam Song River aboard a local long-tail boat (with two people per boat), soaking in the picturesque surroundings.
The return journey to your hotel offers the option to stop at local villages and a market.
The remainder of the day is yours to relax, culminating in the enjoyment of a beautiful sunset over the Nam Song River from your hotel. Your night will be spent in Vang Vieng.
Optional (not included): Consider a hot-air balloon ride over the Vang Vieng mountains during the late afternoon as the sun sets, offering a splendid view of the surrounding nature. Day 7 – 10th March 2026: Vang Vieng Luang Prabang

After breakfast, our songthaew driver will take you 14 km north to the amazing Tham Xang (Elephant Cave), located on the banks of the Nam Song River. This important Buddhist temple is named for its remarkable limestone formations resembling elephants.
Next, we head to the nearby Tham Hoi (Snail Cave), which winds deep into the mountains. We’ll spend 45 minutes exploring its numerous long corridors and stunning limestone formations.
We will also explore the Loop Cave, known for its impressive stalagmite formations, before continuing on to Tham Nam (Water Cave). At Tham Nam, a cool spring pool lies at the cave’s mouth, making it a perfect spot for a refreshing swim. We’ll tube through the water-filled cave, which is crystal clear during the dry season.
After this, we trek 2 km to the Hmong village of Phathao, passing through rice paddies and vegetable gardens. Upon arrival, transportation will take us back to Vang Vieng.
Then transfer to the train station to take the train to Luang Prabang (about 01 hour).
On arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to your hotel.

Day 8 – 11th March 2026: Luang Prabang Pak Ou caves

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Royal Palace Museum, built in 1904 during the French colonial era.
A leisurely cruise on the Mekong River follows, offering scenic views en route to the Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues.
Stops include Ban Xanghai for local rice wine. Returning to Luang Prabang, we’ll explore Wat Sene and the stunning Wat Xiengthong temple with its intricate mosaics. If time allows, we’ll visit Ban Xangkhong for crafts and Ban Xienglek for traditional Saa paper. Optional activities include joining a petanque game with locals. Later, we’ll admire the sunset at Wat Prabath and conclude with the Night Market’s handmade textiles.

Day 9 – 12th March 2026: Luang Prabang Kuang Si Falls 

Have breakfast at your hotel.

We’ll rise early to join Laos’ sacred morning alms giving tradition, dating back to the 14th century.
Over 200 Buddhist monks collect their daily meals from residents along the quiet streets.
Afterward, we’ll explore the morning market near the former Royal Palace, where locals barter their fresh produce and catches of the day. Following breakfast, we’ll climb 329 steps up Phousi Hill for a panoramic view of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.
Then, we’ll head directly to Kuang Si, the largest waterfall in the area, featuring three tiers cascading into azure pools—ideal for swimming and popular with both tourists and locals.
Optionally, you can stroll to Ban Thapene to discover secluded waterfalls rarely visited by tourists. En route back to Luang Prabang, there’s an opportunity to visit the Bear Rescue Center, housing animals rescued from poachers. Finally, we’ll make a brief stop at the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where artisans create high-quality textiles using traditional methods near the Mekong River.

Day 10 – 13th March 2026: Luang Prabang Elephant Village

8:00 am – 8:30AM:  Pick up by our English speaking guide from your hotel lobby within Luang Prabang, Laos
Arrival at the Elephant Village Camp: Welcome greeting by your guide and participate in a short briefing about elephants
Elephant Feeding: Get up close and personal with elephants
Explore Elephant Village:  Visit our elephant hospital, museum, gallery and dung paper making facility!
Learn to communicate: Enjoy the impressive experience of being a Mahout and how they communicate.
Boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall: Ride in a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax or swim in the clear water.  Swimsuit recommended!  (note: water levels will vary with seasonal conditions)
Lunch: Dine at our Elephant Camp restaurant.  Your buffet lunch is served with coffee / tea and drinking water (vegetarian options are available)
1:00pm: Depart the camp. Transfer back to your hotel in Luang Prabang

Day 11 – 14th March 2026: Luang Prabang – Nahm Dong Park

After departing at 8:30 am from your hotel, transfer to Nahm Dong park, which locates in Ban Xiengmouk, 10Km from city center.
Arriving at the park, we will have a short welcome by the park manager before joining the morning activities here.
We will first start with the Zipline flying over the jungle and the waterfalls admiring the amazing evergreen scenery. The zipline will take about 1 hour.
Then we will walk back via the jungle trail crossing some flying bridges, small streams, and clear natural pools, where you can take a refresh splash if you wish so.
The picnic lunch will be served at the viewpoint where you can spread your view over the region, including the view of mount Phousi in the city center.
You can either spend the rest of the afternoon stroll around the park, relax by one of the huts at the camp, or enjoy the fresh cool clear natural pools.
Note: Zipline in 1 hour, trekking min 1 hour – max 3 hours depending on the route that you choose
